The Gaian Fellowship
Eureka Springs, Arkansas,
United States
Our nonprofit company is dedicated to changing the world. We are working to create a fully functional, self-sustained ecovillage in the forests of Northern Arizona. This facility will be run and cared for by its employee-members. It will house, feed, and sustain approximately 300 men, women, and children and be open to the public 365 days a year for tours, seasonal camps, seminars, retreats, and conferences about sustainable living. The facility will utilize earth-sheltered dome construction, passive and active solar, water reclamation and recycling, compost waste systems, commercial-sized greenhouses and animal pens, native plant landscaping, and a guild system of service and production. All employees will receive room, board, alternative medical care, transportation, and a small stipend as part of their employment. We do not believe you should have to pay money to live, eat, be healthy, or be educated. We will encourage community, sustainability, self-discovery, and diversity.
