Community Alive at Earthome
Pulteney, New York,
United States
Now forming (6/06)in rural western New York State.
Community Alive Eco-Village is an intentional rural co-housing/Eco-Village for sustainable
multi-generational community.
On the western side of, and around Keuka Lake area within the Fingerlakes region of Upstate New York.
Presently centered in Pulteney New York between Branchport and Hammondsport.
We have been strongly influenced by 50 years of exposure and immersion in American Sufi,Vipasana, Quaker, Roman Catholic, 12 Step Program, Native American Teachings with Traditional Elders.
Have fairly extensive experience in particpating in and creating meaningful rites of passage for men ( a few with women)under the guidence of traditional spiritual elders and doing some hospice.
I partook of a 2 year (1986-1989)in Berkeley intensive community building experiment with F. Scott Pecks book The Differant Drum,on community building.
Our vision is a
multi-generational "co-housing" rural
"eco-village cooperative" style community with between 50 to 100 members.
Currently were there's 3 of us, were 89, 58, and 50 years of age.
Currently were doing a community supported agriculture project with the Bath , New York PeaceWeavers http://www.PeaceWeavers.com.
