Oregon Working Group 2006
Eastern Oregon, Oregon,
United States
The group is organizing its founding membership for an ecological settlement in Eastern Oregon and is seeking creative, mindful spirits who like to work from a blank page. The challenge is to create a living community steeped in respect for life which can sustain itself beyond its founders, beyond a single generation and beyond the village's walls. This is an overwhelming task when considered in the light of historical experience. The question remains as to how to overcome the pressures of stagnation and disintegration that unhinge more than 95% of such efforts within the first two years of their founding.
The Oregon Working Group was founded to gather together those interested in creating a well-grounded intentional community capable of facing and challenging these odds.
