Ahupuaa Village main house
Ahupuaa Village is in Kapaa, on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. Each of us pursues our own artistic and intellectual interests--an architect, musicians, hardware/software techies, artists, a carpenter, and various kinds of teachers. The place is conducive to art and garden projects, and healthful living with fresh local food readily available. We are open to skilled individuals doing part-time work here after an initial "getting to know each other" period.
The site has passive solar and several experimental architectural designs. The focus is on a healthy, drug-free environment. Once in a while we invite other artists and artisans from the entire island to share art and food (preferrably live) with us.
Ahupuaa Village has a banana forest, a jungle, hiking trails, and permaculture gardens with some 60 or so edible plant varieties. If you’re interested in visiting and staying for a while, please contact us.
As of December 2009: We receive many inquiries, most of whom are not clear as to desired type and length of stay and the skills of the person(s) wishing to join us. We apologize in advance if not everyone receives a reply. We make an effort of responding to serious inquiries with resume and detailed data. wishing t
