Can MasDeu is a squatted social center and urban community in the Collserola Park on the edge of Barcelona, Spain. In addition to roughly 25 people, 20 chickens, and one cat, hundreds of visitors come to work a plot of land in community gardens or to enjoy one of the many weekend activities.

Visitors Accepted
(our capacity for visits is limited so please let contact us in advanced)
Visitor Process: The website lists the activities of the house and the days we are open to the public: most Sundays in autumn, winter and spring. All are welcome to come on these days. However, we do not accept visitors for overnight stays. Barcelona is overrun with tourists, and as a result, visits to our house are restricted to friends of community members. Exceptions can be made, particularly for those offering a skill-exchange, but one must ask in advance. Please do not just show up and expect us to have room or energy to show you around on a day we are not open as a social center.
