The HUB Housing Cooperative
Chicago, Illinois,
United States
(Little Village/Marshall Square neighborhood)
In January 2005 we bought a six-unit apartment building in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. We currently have nine members and do have memberships for sale.
What we share on the surface is the bicycle as transportation. Some of us don't ride that often, however. On a deeper level, what we share is that we're working toward a world that's sustainable, and transportation is a huge part of that. City planning is another huge part of that, since we (as a society) are subsidizing sprawl, which is inherently unsustainable.
