Dandelion
Rutledge, Missouri,
United States
We make decisions based on consensus and we share living space, meals, income, expenses, and labor. We value feminism, permaculture, cooperation, open communication, simplicity, honesty, nonviolence, and the willingness to resolve conflict.
We are located on approximately eight acres of land in rural northeast Missouri at Red Earth Farms (next to Dancing Rabbit and near Sandhill Farm). We have an annual garden, a high-tunnel hoop house, and a young orchard of fruit, nut, and timber trees, all which we garden organically.
We have many systems in place, and we aim to keep our lifestyle simple, yet fulfilling. It means a lot to us to have control over our own time.
Dandelion is a sub-community of Red Earth Farms. Currently our community is in transition and we have one adult member, but our goal is to become a family-style group of 5-8 adults. (We are open to children too.)
We are looking for new members with prior community experience who share our values and who are interested in joining to further develop this community.
