 Dandelion is a subcommunity of Red Earth Farms. Currently, we have two members, but our goal is to become a family-style group of 6-8 adults. (We are open to children too). We make decisions based on consensus and we share living space, meals, income, and labor. We value cooperation, open communication, honesty, nonviolence, and the willingness to resolve conflict.
We are located on about 12 acres of land in rural Northeast Missouri. We have an annual garden which we farm organically and have begun planting fruit and nut trees in our orchard.
We aim to keep our lifestyle simple, yet fulfilling. It means a lot to us to have control over our own time.
We are looking for new members with community experience who share our values and who are interested in joining a family of friends in the pioneering stage of our community.
A visit can be arranged by contacting us via email. Visitors are encouraged to come during the spring, summer, or fall since winter housing options are limited.
