Gorilla Grove realizes the potential of a great evolutionary advance for all humans. During the historic period, much of humankind has been less than kind to Gaia. Many have come to be attached to goals and adventures which pretend to put us above and separate us from Her. Gorilla Grove is an intentional community with a goal and adventure in mind, one which will bring an unprecedented departure from “business as usual.” Our projects will use permaculture design, but this will be second to the sacred aspect. Each grove will serve as a sanctuary for flora and fauna and include free and natural humans. Broadcasting sights of nature and healthy humans to a weary world, we hope to encourage others to use their imaginations to surround themselves with sacred groves of their own, eventually linking with us and others to form one ever-expanding commons. As we build living castles, all walls are living root mass. As we ascend into the trees 100 feet, building as we go, 10 acres will become a half million square feet of usable living space, with much wildlife. Our business plan is unique; these spaces are rare and exotic, and will make our special fortune. As studios they will express a branded living experience to the world. As “hard-core” eco-designers, we will be most interested in creating spaces with great diversity of life and of beauty. These spaces will become the backdrop to our story. Our products will be the produce from these edible forest gardens and the arts and media that our members create. All of these noncontiguous sanctuaries will, through the portal of our website, seem to be one land. Businesses are powered by emotions and feelings; our emotional state of mind will direct our actions. When we tell our story and people get to know us, they will come to love the land and its creatures; people’s emotional energy will be with us and will be naturally stimulated. We are in this for “the big time.” There is no reason that once our working model of a just system is a vibrant success (just to let you know, by “just” I mean that we share the marginal costs of operation, but our products are our own just property)—once our just system is sparkling and crackling with life, there is no reason that we can't become an environmental utility, a revolutionary company which can break down the perceptual barriers that blind the eyes and steal the dreams of our people.
