Hedonisia Hawaii is a small ecofriendly community of volunteers and tourists from around the world. We are located in the rainforest region of the "Big Island" of Hawaii.

We define Hedonisia as 'a community of individuals'.

This means that eco-tourist community members can enjoy their own private time in Hawaii whilst at the same time living in a community setting.

For travelers who wish to enjoy a socially progressive vacation Hedonisia Hawaii offers a Fair Trade Volunteer Program.

Because our housing is a single housing unit and requires the sharing of bathroom, kitchen and common space membership/residency may be restricted based on sex/gender in accordance with the law. Our community does not discriminate based on race/color, national origin, religion, family status (i.e. having children, not having children, or being pregnant), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, ancestry, source of income, age, creed, personal appearance, political affiliation, HIV infection, military/veteran status, unfavorable military discharge, gender identity or expression, receiving public assistance, or domestic abuse.

Identified Leader: Yes (Mojo is the owner of the property and founder. However, designated Managers also have Community Leader authority in his absence) Leadership Core Group: Yes (Mojo and designated Managers)	Labor and Money Financial Style: Members have independent finances (We are a community of Independent Individuals.) Open to Members with Pre-existing Debt: Yes (However, we cannot accept someone who is completely broke. Based on past experience, they tend to depend on other Volunteers to feed them.) Labor Contribution: Expected (3 hours a day or 15 hours per week. Weekends off.) Join Fee: Yes (The Fair-Trade Volunteer Program is both fair and affordable. Land and Buildings Rural Area: 4 acres (1.6 hectares) (Included on the property is a 2 acre volcanic crater and a bottomless) Land Owned By: Individual community member(s) (Mojo) Number of Residences: 10 (We offer many different styles of accommodation from Indoor Camping to Outdoor Sheltered Camping.)	Food, etc. Percentage of Food Grown: 6-20% (Volunteers provide their own food. However, as part of their volunteer fee they may freely harvest crops growing on the property.) Share Community Meals: 1-3 times/month (Volunteer Members often decide on a communal meal with each person contributing what they can.) Dietary Choice or Restrictions: Diet is up to each individual Dietary Practice: Omnivorous (We welcome all diet types but we ask that you respect the individual diet choices of other Members.) Alcohol Use: Used occasionally (We allow drinking but not drunkeness which we define as any behavior under the influence of alcohol that causes another Guest or Volunteer to feel uncomfortable.) Tobacco Use: Used Occasionally (SUV's create a far deadlier form of secondhand smoke so we tolerate smoking in designated areas.)	Social Factors Common Spiritual Practices: No (Volunteer Members tend to be eco-friendly and socially progressive.) Which Spiritual Traditions(s): Other (Hedonisia respects all individual beliefs as long as the feeling is reciprocal. However, we lean towards Tantric forms of Spirituality. Hence the name Hedonisia!) Educational Style(s): Other (Each Volunteer Member is responsible for their own kids schooling.)
