Austin Cohousing (Formerly Central Austin Cohousing/Kaleidoscope Village)
Austin, Texas,
United States
A very brief history of Central Austin Cohousing: the group formed in 2000, and did the usual “what if’s” with sites until 2 members bought an east Austin site in May 2006 and began plans for Kaleidoscope Village Cohousing. Those plans have been canceled as of 9/16/2011 because Conventional and FHA mortgages are not available for Kaleidoscope Village Cohousing buyers.
Kaleidoscope Village Cohousing blueprints and construction drawings for homes and common house can be provided for your use -- to discuss terms, send email to info(at)kvaustin.org.
The website url for this directory entry now goes to Austin Cohousing meetup group for anyone interested in forming new cohousing plans for Austin.
