| La Florida is located 2200 ft above the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.
We have l50 acres of reforestation, organic permaculture, fruit orchards, and traditional tropical agriculture. There are two greenhouses plus 10 acres of organic gardens, which help provide food for guests and volunteers. We are teaching organic gardening to the local schoolchildren whose ages range from six to fourteen.
We have done extensive reforestation of native hardwoods, fruits, and bamboo. We are practicing many forms of green building and furniture making. We are also working with locals on conservation projects, and sparking local economies. We are providing knowledge on organic techniques, along with appreciating beautiful surrounding, daily sunsets on the ocean, great proximity to the ocean, and the best waterfalls.
