AND
WE are looking for someone TO BUY THE BACK LOT AND BUILD A HOMESTEAD FOR 1 OR 2 HOUSEHOLDS to make SHE FARM SUSTAINABLE into the future and fulfill it's potential.
She Farm stands on a triple lot nestled amid fruit trees, berries, flowers, and herbs in the Rainier Valley, the most diverse area in Seattle. The city noises in the background notwithstanding, it seems like a country homestead.
We have rental space now, as we build a mini-cohousing community of two to three independent households sharing and nurturing the land.
She Farm has three buildings: one sweet residence with a common kitchen, living room with wood stove, laundry, and porch; a ramshackle barn with a new roof and doors, and lots of renovation potential; a small, recently built, and beloved retreat and guesthouse.
Currently She Farm is owned by one woman with a vision of shared ownership. For ten years, one household has nurtured the earth and our rich and various spiritual paths, often in the nooks and crannies of the garden. We have progressive politics, value differences, and cultivate compassion in communication, AND we need more resource to keep She Farm green and sustainable into the future.
The joining Household will enjoy Use Rights to the 3rd lot. Enthusiasm for community living, gardening, and cottage industry would be shared.
