RanchHome - Your Farm and Ranch Home
Austin Central Texas Area, Texas,
United States
(Basically the rural rolling hills East of HWY I-35)
Houston, Conroe, East Texas Area, Texas,
United States
(Rural areas North or West of Houston)
We are people gathering together to buy rural farmland, individually, for sale at a lower price, due to it being a bulk purchase from a large landholder, yet to be determined. The location will be in east Texas.
The goal is to get some land to have a home, raise a family, cultivate a garden, a farm, a ranch, some animals, or operate an ethical business. The hope is that the buyers will get along, in a spirit of community, with freedom, liberty, and personal responsibility on their own, individual piece of land. This freedom extends to their fence line, but has some limited restrictions to make for a good and healthy quality of life, which is family-friendly, with family values, and peace and respect for the neighbors. There will likely be some land or building for common use.
To join, one should be financially capable to purchase raw land, now or in the not too distant future. It requires either cash or having access to other credit not secured by the land. The minimum will probably cost at least $15,000 for 10 acres. It is possible lot sizes could be smaller and cheaper if zoning permits it.
Property will be purchased strictly within the laws of Texas, and with the assistance of licensed real estate professionals to assure good title for each owner.
  Status: Seeking founding members.
