Kulana Artist Sanctuary
Volcano, Hawaii,
United States
(Big Island)
Creativity
In honor of 2012, Kulana Artist Sanctuary is moving away from traditional paradigms & transitioning into our next level of living reality: Kulananuenue--Sacred Mystery Experience & Home for the Artistically & Spiritually Inclined.
We are still a small, magical, racially (and otherwise) diverse, womyn-centric (though not womyn-only) rustic, creative, personal sanctuary/home on Hawaii's Big Island where folks “do their thing”--short & long-term--creatively, spiritually, and in terms of gentle, harmonious personal growth.
Our atmopshere is still happily smoke, alcohol, drugs, and drama FREE.
We are still (at this time) five miles from the entrance to Volcanoes National Park and local farmers’ markets, artist workshop, etc. and within easy driving distance of black-sand sea turtle beaches, Hilo, the University, art galleries, sacred sites...
All old & new friends still have their own individual indoor space or campsite, and share use & care of our shared common areas (main house kitchen, library, bathrooms, lanai, meditation trails, etc.)
And, as always, meals, creative & practical projects, plus island adventures are shared as mutually desired...
BUT we've significantly shapeshifted how we "do" community support spiritually, energetically, & materially!
So please check out new & evolving guidelines for "visitors" & "residents" at our website: www.discoverkulana.com and see if the way we work now & you are a good, win-win fit! :)
Looking forward to sharing sacred time & space together soon...!

Visitors Accepted
 (See Visitor page at: www.discoverkulana.com)
Visitor Process: Kulananuenue & the Big Island of Hawaii are very unique. Aiming towards being authentically conscious with each other, we are a smoke, alcohol, drugs, and drama-FREE environment, for example. Please familiarize yourself with our Guidelines (printable from the last page of: www.discoverkulana.com), which includes information for short-term visiting, longer-term artist/visionaries-in-residence, and "What to Know and Bring." Then, let us know a little about yourself & what timeframe you'd like to spend with us... ...and if we are able to welcome you & it feels like a good fit, we will! :) (Please note: We do not accept drop-ins; all time with us is scheduled in advance). Look forward to getting to know YOU! :)
