Pahoa, Hawaii,
United States
tropical paradise
We dedicate ourselves to the long-term health and well being of each other. We honor and work in harmony with the land we own and steward. We commit to nurturing our connection with the people of the bioregion in which we live by encouraging cooperative endeavors and building friendships.
Our land is blessed with lots of sun and rain, has native Ohi'a forest, orchards, ponds and a magical cinder cone.
Members are encouraged to build and maintain personal structures that are as simple as possible, and to meet as many needs as possible through community owned structures and systems (water, electrical, phone, computer, kitchen etc.).
We are dedicated to making full, voting membership possible for anyone who shares our values and works well with us, regardless of the amount of wealth she/he has.
We value relationships and sexuality as an important part of individual’s lives and a powerful energy that nourishes ourselves and our community. We do not elevate one sexual relationship model (monogamy, polyamory) over another but place emphasis on healthy, positive relating.
We are living together out of choice and from joy, not out of scarcity, fear, or ideology.
We place a high value on people who are dedicated to working on themselves and who welcome community support and feedback as part of their growth/healing processes.
