Twelve Tribes Community in Asheville
Asheville, North Carolina,
United States
We have a small organic farm about 2 miles from downtown Asheville, in which we welcome visitors and wwoofers. We have goats, sheep and are getting ready to plant this years crops.
We are several families and single people living together in 3 houses. We work together in our local landscaping business and on our farm, sharing our money and possessions.
We gather together twice a day for simple spiritual worship in which anyone including the children can start a song, a folk dance, give thanks for something, share a spiritual insight or lessons learned from that day, etc.
Our life is a Godsend to us, in which we are experiencing realistic healing from our past troubles as well as experiencing growth and understanding in areas we were underdeveloped.
One of the most amazing things about our community is the vast differences in the backgrounds of the members. This is really a place for everyone.
Our life is radical in the sense that we are willing to make self sacrifices in order for the community to flourish. We all go through personal struggles but are in it together and for the common good of not only our community, but also to provide hope for others and for the future.
We love guests and would be happy for you to come visit. If you want to know more about our beliefs, you can visit our website at www.twelvetribes.org. We would love to meet you.
Our address is 9 Lora Lane Asheville, NC 28803. Our number is 828-274-8747.
