 Chippenham Community is an urban intentional community in Christchurch, New Zealand, sharing a large old historic house (1862) on a beautiful tree-lined section. We are part of Heartwood Community Te Ngakau O te Rakau, an umbrella organisation for three shared-house communities, first founded in 1970 (under a different name). Our community has maintained strong ethos of equality and democratic participation across 34 years.
