| Maple Ridge was founded in October 1985. The property was initially called Pleasant View. Formerly a small family resort, Pleasant View made a beautiful community. Best of all, at least for the children, was the ridge that towered behind their new home, with rugged terrain to explore and panoramic views of Ulster County, Kingston, the Catskills, the Hudson River Valley, and on into the Berkshires.
