Abeo
Southern Tasmania, Tasmania,
Australia
Abeo, formerly 'the change', is a new permaculture community in Tasmania as of 2005. We have a central property consisting of over 200 acres, mostly light dryland native forest and we have an informal 'lease' agreement with one of our members that allows us to share her property.
We are seeking visitors, wwoofers, and any potential members.
Our philosophy comes from a wide range of books by authors like Daniel Quinn, Ayn Rand, B.F. Skinner, Sun Tzu, Plato, John Robbins, Gene Roddenberry, Robert Heinlein, Frank Herbert, and Issac Asimov. However, mentioning one of these authors shouldn't lead one to assume we agree fully with them.
Please visit our website for a more detailed description of us, what we are doing, and other potential membership and/or lifeboat opportunities.
