Vlierhof
Kleve, Millingen,
Netherlands
(We are 4 km from Milligen, just inside of Germany)
Vlierhof buildings
Vlierhof is a farm, 3.7 hectares on the border of Germany and Holland, walking distance from the Rijn River, just inside Germany near the village, Keeken, and the border town, Millingen, in Holland.
We're interested in sustainability, wellness, artistic expression, relating compassionately, health, and organic living.
Currently, 7 to 15 people live here and we have a care farm for people who need the healthy environment of a farm to improve five days a week. We have an acre to grow organic vegetables, currently have nine chickens, some cats, and an area for art projects.
Some of us are living in caravans and others in a large, old farmhouse, and now the renovated barn, as well as a guesthouse. Most people are Dutch and there is one American.
We like Nonviolent Communication (cnvc.org) by Marshall Rosenberg, but are still not very good at it. We eat lunch and dinner together. We have incredible organic, vegetarian/vegan meals. We have installed a wood burning heating system that involves burning huge amounts of firewood and heating water to flow through the walls. There are other construction plans underway to create more living space and room to accommodate groups and festivals. We have built a large greenhouse, created a one-acre organic farm. We also have a sauna and a natural swimming pond.
We would like to become a center for consciousness and communication possibly in the near future.
Visitors and volunteers are welcome and those who would like to see if they would fit in here to live. We particularly could use someone musical for improvisational singing, maybe a ceramicist, and people who bring peace from within, as well as people to work with the care farm people, etc.
We are quite serious about no drugs or alcohol on the property.

Hello friends, in this community very important changes are going on. They are looking for new communitymemebers and also long-stay volunteers. Beautiful peoples are already there end welcomes more inspiring peoples. Work on the land or in the kitchen is very nice. Beautiful settings and very good food. some time ago there were some conflicts but they are gone. Everything is decided in a sociocratic way and is really for the benefit of all.
