Gently Stepping Into Faerie
Elvin HOME, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit ecumenical organization that co-operatively owns and operates Lothlorien Nature Sanctuary in Lawrence County, Needmore, Indiana, USA. Participation is welcomed and encouraged.
Monthly Councils occur on the second Sunday in or near the Radiance Hall at 1:00 PM. unless otherwise indicated.
Full Moons are celebrated openly at Lothlorien each month. Contact Jef and Vic at elvinhome@elvinhome.org (with "ATTN: Jef and Vic" in the subject heading) for details.
Earth Steward Weekends occur throughout the camping season. These present wonderful opportunities for hands-on involvement.
We also hold two large events and other events throughout the year. Visit us online for complete information and for maps to get here.
*Please note: Our primary focus does not necessarily involve more people moving to Lothlorien although we are open to the possibility. Core sponsors do not necessarily live at Lothlorien but we do allow for this to happen on a full or part-time basis as specified in our by-laws. All sponsors of Elvin HOME, Inc. (elendil, Eldar Emeritus, Staff, Stewards and Eldar Stewards) cooperatively own Lothlorien Nature Sanctuary as noted above.

I've lived at Lothlorien for two years now, currently we have 12 council members,a somewhere between 300 and 400 people who attend are two largest annual festivals. We have a very nice two story community building that most call the long hall,a solar stage,a very well built composting privy,in the shape of a tipi, hot showers, and our sacred space thunder dome,(in the process of being covered)It is a place where it is what you make of it.It's had a lot of love put into in the past twenty years it's been open, but it always in need of individuals who are passionate about some aspect of the community. There has been some past bad social politics, but we are past them(those involved have moved on)We have a new democratic governing system. If you are from the surrounding area and have heard stories,I encourage you to come out and talk to those who have been around and hear the other side of the story instead of taking what you've heard as fact, and make a decision for your self.
