Greenplan
Berkeley, California,
United States
Greenplan is a longterm plan to establish the best practical organizational/legal structure for enabling sustainable tribal ICs worldwide. We must provide better/best living alternatives, better than capitalist/private ownership.
The current immediate project is the "orchard house" in Berkeley, CA, which has been landscaped as an urban farm in an excellent SF Bay area transit-friendly location. This could be perfect for establishing an inter-community "community economy"-hour based economic system to help get away from capitalism.
Orchard house is organizing similar to a student co-op with high turnover, to also host meetings and publicity events for other sustainable ecovillage projects. This can create a conduit for 100s+ students to get involved with rural ICs.
This Jan. is an EXCELLENT time to come help encourage new members (like students) to join the effort, and the project also needs a rural location to start planting orchards, temporary investors for this property, construction skills, film-makers, etc. etc.
Besides sustainable living and freedom from exploitation worldwide, priorities also include preparing for emics/disasters, music, skiing, freedom, freedom from poisons/poisonous behavior, health.
