Prairie Onion Cohousing
Chicago, Illinois,
United States
Prairie Onion Cohousing will create and sustain an intergenerational, cooperative urban community and living environment that is healthful and nurturing for its residents, connected with the larger community, and respectful of the earth's resources which we all share.
We intend to build a cohousing community within the city of Chicago. We are currently considering a site in the Bronzeville neigborhood, which is easily accessible to the Loop and within walking distance of public transportation. We anticipate a community of about 20 households who will share green space and a common house, with parking located at the edge of the site.
