Pioneer Trails Institute is established for the purpose of providing a facility that will serve as a center for the research, development, and implementation of affordable, efficient, and ecologically sound methods of building construction and renovation that include, but are not restricted to: energy generation from earth, solar, wind, and water sources; energy conservation; sewage and waste disposal; healthful living and eating; and the recycling of existing materials in unusual and creative ways. These purposes shall be attained by utilizing the building for various research laboratories, holding seminars, publishing newsletters, and serving as a prototype for the implementation of the various technologies developed.
