Building together
Egret’s Cove is five households living on 15 wooded acres in the hills, across from a small lake near Berea, Kentucky. We are using cooperation and innovative design to reduce significantly the ecological impact and financial demands of our lives. We make decisions by consensus. Members are engaged in a range of social and appropriate technology issues, including alternative education and food security.
Each household is building a small energy efficient cabin while sharing the land, garden, and a community building. It’s an interesting place and a great place for kids.
