An urban college neighborhood
The city can be a good place to grow old, and many people are interested in moving back to urban centers, as long as they are safe and affordable. Lower crime rates have made downtowns more appealing, and theories like Creative Capital offer exciting insights into the value of city life.
Pedestrian-friendly, urban cooperative communities near colleges, universities, or cultural centers attract independent, interesting people who want alternatives to traditional retirement lifestyles. More and more, sophisticated retirees want a more cosmopolitan lifestyle, but so far, most affordable developments are in isolated rural or suburban areas, and only the wealthy can afford a townhouse in Manhattan or a charming cottage in Princeton. These options are perfect for many, but what about the rest of us?
The Square at Kean represents a small group who want to retire in metropolitan New Jersey, and who are looking for like-minded people to join with us.
