Echollective Farm
Mechanicsville, Iowa,
United States
Echollective Farm is a forming community in rural eastern Iowa on 53 acres, including a 20-acre forest reserve and creek. Organic produce from our 14-acre garden reaches market through Iowa City grocery stores, farmer's markets, and restaurants. Group interests center on community and sustainable food, energy, and housing. Major products are garlic, kale, asparagus, and strawberries.
We plan to be living again on the land soon, but members currently live in Iowa City. Currently, one person coordinates the farming enterprise, with a dozen other people involved, and other people have jobs off the farm. We are interested in new members and envision an eventual group of 10-20 residents. Interested people should include at least a few details about your interests, skills, and community vision in your inquiry.
