Tibbits Nature Sanctuary
Columbiaville, Michigan,
United States
The Tibbits Nature Sanctuary (formerly called the Land Stewardship Center) in Columbiaville, Michigan, was formed to help revitalize and maintain the Tibbits farm as a demonstration of good land stewardship practices. There are currently two households at the center that live and work cooperatively to demonstrate and promote good land stewardship practices. Our goal is to learn to live more in harmony with the rest of nature. Community activities include gardening, reforestation, wetland and animal habitat restoration, vegan potluck meals, and having fun together. We also host gatherings of environmental and animal right activists. We welcome casual, day visitors as well as extended stays by apprentices, interns and other people who think they might be interested in working and living with us on a long term basis.
