Father Divine's Peace Mission Movement
Gladwyne, Pennsylvania,
United States
Father Divine
The followers of the Reverend Major J. Divine make up the interracial, international, interdenominational, peace-mission movement. By revelation we know Father Divine is God, Jesus Christ in the fathership degree. We live together as a holy spiritual family, knowing God is our father/mother and we are brothers and sisters. We cut all ties of blood relationships. We live as though we died and went to heaven. Heaven is a state of consciousness.
When we put off mortal thinking and living and conform to the Christ mind and spirit, our bodies can live on in youthfulness here on Earth. If one dies to self and all its connections, there is no need for propagation. God expresses his love for us in mental, spiritual, and material blessings. We express our love for God by working and serving, giving wholeheartedly our all to the cause of magnifying the actual presence of God on the Earth. By serving our fellow man and lifting up a standard for the people, we make Christianity practical. We daily work together and praise God in song together. Our ongoing project is to bring the Christ to fruition individually and collectively, be a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle, living the brotherhood of man, depending on God alone for our sustenance.
