Sonora Cohousing is a neighborhood of 36 homes on 4.8 acres in urban Tucson, near the University of Arizona and downtown. Common facilities are of straw bale construction and include dining, kitchen, lounge, kids’ room, pool, laundry, craft room, guest room, and multipurpose room. The community garden includes organic produce, and poultry. Community is multi-generational with residents aged from 4 to 89.
