Rainbow Hearth Sanctuary and Retreat Center
Burnet, Texas,
United States
Rainbow Hearth is an ecospiritual center based on permaculture, interspecies communication, music, arts, and life skills to stay healthy, viable, and in balance with the Earth. Our commitment is to live with dignity, comfort, purpose, delight, and integrity and in heart space.
Rainbow Hearth's 9 acres rise from lakeshore to 180 feet above the lake through woods, organic gardens, orchards, and meadows. Our 30-acre neighborhood of private landholders is bordered by enormous ranches recognized as critical for water quality and wildlife habitat. A 900-acre state park is nearby.
Members and neighbors are self-employed in teaching, holistic health, writing, entertainment, landscaping, building, and business consulting. We combine simple lifestyles with high-tech capabilities. The neighborhood children are wise to the ways of nature, and they roam freely and safely.
Interested persons may rent available rooms or houses or purchase lots in the immediate neighborhood. Rainbow Hearth is now devoted to providing retreat space for individuals, couples, families, and small groups.
The Whole Works! Institute--a nonprofit corporation--sponsors an Earth-keeper internship program of particular interest to persons committed to explore powerful and effective alternatives to mainstream living options. Spiritual and physical regeneration retreats are available.
