Sunrise Ranch
Loveland, Colorado,
United States
Sunrise Ranch is an Emissary community founded in 1945, and located about 10 miles west of Loveland, Colorado, (a little over an hour north of Denver). The Emissaries (also known as Emissaries of Divine Light) are a worldwide spiritual organization and, in the United States, a registered nonprofit charity dedicated to the spiritual regeneration of humankind. The demonstration of practical spirituality in each aspect of living is one of the Emissaries' main concerns.
Sunrise Ranch has about 70 residents—60 adults and 10 children. The community has weekly worship services, an elected governing board, regular community meetings, internship and visitor programs, and a retreat and conference business handling groups up to 200. It also runs a farm, growing organic vegetables and raising grass-fed beef.
Work opportunities include support of most of the functions required for a busy, well-established community to flourish. All community members are required to contribute some time to community tasks. Because Sunrise Ranch is the international headquarters of the Emissary program, much administrative work takes place on site.
While external changes have their ebb and flow, there is a firm commitment to our spiritual heritage and a strong, focused intent on the radiant expression of the divine.
Becoming a community member involves several stages ranging from a few days' visit to participation in the "Full Self Emergence" work-study program. We welcome visitors. We ask that you please call before arriving. Some work-share arrangements are available from time to time.
