The Yoga Farm
Punta Banco,
Costa Rica
The Yoga Farm's mission is to create a conscious spiritual community based on the practice of yogic lifestyle. The community will be open to all who want to visit even if they are unfamiliar with yogic lifestyle or do not practice it. There is neither specific dogma nor any specific spiritual teacher at The Yoga Farm. Rather, the path of community will be co-created by the people who come to the farm. The highest vision that the community will work towards will be to co-create a space where people can feel welcome, well received, a part of, contributing to, appreciated, and loved. In essence, the vision is to create community. The ultimate vision of the community will be to do meaningful work in the world that makes a contribution and a positive difference! This can be as simple as creating a sacred space within the community that people can be supported by. The ultimate vision can also extend outwards to work with the greater community of the immediate surrounding area, and to the world. The possibilities are endless; the power of intentional community working together can open all sorts of opportunities.
The Yoga Farm offers visitors a truly unique traveling experience. We are a simple, quiet, peaceful retreat facility with basic comforts; we are not a spa. We are a destination for those who want to visit a location that offers pristine virgin rainforest and clean beaches with few people on it, except for the occasional local Costa Rican fishing and a few visitors. One advantage of the area is that it has little nightlife and shopping. Rather, it offers the opportunity to go for hikes in the rainforest, on horseback trips, and to participate in cultural visits with indigenous families where they can learn traditional indigenous crafts and see beautiful wildlife. You will find our facility to be simple, clean and comfortable. The Yoga Farm is ideal for people who want to spend some quality time with themselves, while surrounded by nature.
Visitors interested in becoming part of our community are welcome to visit at any time. We first ask people come as a guest for two weeks (at our usual low rates), and then we can co-create a volunteer agreement and eventually a long-term agreement for people interested in living with us. Please read our website thoroughly for more information. Peace.
