Sugar Mountain
Norwood, Missouri,
United States
Sugar Mountain is a homesteading community, which is an intentional neighborhood of like-minded individuals, practicing skills of self-sufficiency and homesteading, to include livestock, animal husbandry, gardening, food preservation, and other skills.
Our neighborhood is striving towards self-sufficiency, independence, preparedness, and survival, with an eye toward preserving old-time skills that might otherwise be lost. We are NOT accepting any new family units at present.
Members are carefully selected, and only 1 or 2 family units are added per year. Over 5 years time, we went from 1 founding family unit to a total of 10 family units. We recently moved our entire community to another more remote location with smaller amount of acreage. We are currently at 5 family units, and we are NOT accepting new family units at present.
Please do not send e-mail solicitations, sales pitches, or promotions. We are not interested in joining protests or handing out pamphlets, books, or other reading materials for political or other causes.
